My Story
The version of me that got me here? That version became the ceiling.
“The version of me that got me here became the ceiling.
”
I grew up on a cattle ranch in South Dakota. Hard land, hard people. That built resilience, but it also built an identity based on pressure, survival, and proving I was enough.
I spent twelve years in the Navy on submarines. No sunlight, no personal space, no choosing your crew. You're exhausted, you're trapped, and the mission doesn't care how you feel. That's where I learned how to stay calm when everything around you is trying to break you.
After the Navy I built a business from scratch with nothing but a brochure and scaled it to over fifty million in sales. Then I walked away. Not because I had to. Because I was done being that version of me.
I hired my first coach in 2009. By 2015 this was the work.
That's the pattern. You build an identity that gets you to a certain level, then it becomes your ceiling. Most people never see it. They just keep grinding harder against the same wall.
I saw it. Then I changed who I was being, not what I was doing.
Now I work with a handful of elite performers who've already won at the game and know the version of them that won it won't take them where they're going next.
I don't give you plans or systems. Your life is the material. We work on the deal on the table, the hire you keep putting off, the conversation you've been avoiding. I'm in it with you while it's happening, getting you to see what's actually there.
You can't outperform your identity. You can change it. That's the work.
What I See in You
You’ve already proven you can produce. That’s not the question.
The question is what it’s costing you, and what you’re still leaving on the table.
Every high performer I’ve worked with carries some version of the same pattern: an identity built under pressure that helped them succeed on the way up, but now quietly caps what they’re capable of next.
You cannot outperform your identity. No amount of strategy, discipline, or effort breaks that ceiling. But when your identity shifts, at the root, not the surface, everything it touches changes.
I’m not sharing my story so you feel something for where I came from. I’m sharing it because you likely have your own version.
You already know you’re capable of more. You wouldn’t be here if you didn’t.
The only question is whether you’re ready to find out what that actually looks like.
